Graces Wish
Today, part 1 of 2 of Grace’s Christmas dream came true, and my heart is completely overwhelmed.
I don’t even have the words to fully express what this moment means.
Grace lost everything when Hurricane Helene took her home in 2024. Not long after, her world was turned upside down again when she was diagnosed with cancer at just three years old. Three. Years. Old.
Through unimaginable loss and courage, this little girl continues to shine.
Today, we were able to completely transform Grace’s apartment, her playroom, living room, and bedroom — into a space where she can finally play, feel safe, rest, and heal. A space that feels like home again.
This would not have been possible without some truly incredible angels on earth.
A huge thank you to Karissa from All Things Interior, who poured her heart into organizing and helping to design every detail of this space. She answered my late-night messages, and helped me make every decision. And to her amazing husband Rob, who showed up yesterday to help build furniture with so much love and care.
Another enormous shoutout to Tim (Tim Macnab Realtor) and Jeff (Thompson Home Service) — for building, installing peel-and-stick wallpaper, lifting, fixing, and doing it all with the biggest hearts. Truly the best handymen in the Tampa Bay Area.
And thank you to Steph and her husband Eric from Custom Rustic Tampa who stepped in last minute to deliver a brand-new bed frame without hesitation.
Grace and her mom, Nina, absolutely loved their new space. Seeing their reactions made every single moment worth it. Because of your donations, we were able to do this for them. You didn’t just give them furniture, you gave them comfort, hope, and a home, and reminded them that they are deeply loved.
Grace completely stole my heart. She immediately put on a dress-up gown and a big bow, sat at her new vanity doing her makeup, and lit up with pure joy when she saw the ball pit. She took her time looking around, soaking it all in, her eyes full of wonder. Mom was as grateful as ever to see a TRUE room for them to rest in, especially after long days at the hospital.
Merry Christmas, Grace.
Your strength, sweetness, and light will stay with me forever. We love you so much!
