Blind Makeovers & Belly Laughs
Sometimes the best medicine does not come in a bottle.
Sometimes it comes with a blindfold and a makeup brush.
Our cancer fighters took on blind makeovers — and what happened next was pure, hysterical laughter. With eyes covered and brushes in hand, they went to work on each other, doing their absolute best… or at least trying to.
- Lipstick way outside the lines.
- Blush in all the wrong places.
- Mascara with a mind of its own.
And the laughter? Uncontrollable. The kind that makes your stomach hurt and your eyes water. The kind that fills a room so completely you forget, even for a moment, why you were there in the first place.
For kids who spend so much time being poked, prodded, and sitting through serious conversations, getting to be silly is powerful. Getting to laugh that hard is freeing.
There were no mirrors at first. Just trust, friendship, and a whole lot of giggling. And when the blindfolds finally came off, the reactions were priceless. More laughter. More joy. Zero regrets.
These moments matter. Because while cancer tries to take so much, it cannot take:
- Their humor.
- Their friendships.
- Their ability to find joy in the middle of it all.
Blind makeovers may not create flawless faces — but they create unforgettable memories. And on this day, laughter truly won.
