Kids Helping Kids

The Heart of Gold Program shows students that they are never too young to make a difference.

Whip Pediatric Cancer was founded by a 16-year-old who believed kids have the power to help other kids. The Heart of Gold Program brings that same spirit into schools across the country.

During Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in September, your school receives a kit with the number of hearts requested and simple program instructions.

4

Share the Hearts

Each student receives a gold heart to decorate and personalize with their name — a fun, meaningful way to learn that small actions make a big impact.

5

Raise Funds Together

Students donate through their school’s giving page and share it with family and friends. Schools set goals and celebrate milestones together.

$25
Every $25 raised buys a brand-new toy for a child fighting cancer.
Students see exactly how their efforts bring comfort, joy, and smiles to the kids who need it most.

A Lesson That Lasts

The Heart of Gold Program teaches students:

  • They are never too young to make a difference.
  • The importance of helping others.
  • What it means to be philanthropic.
  • Why gold is the color of Childhood Cancer Awareness.
