WHAT IS WHIPMAS?

WHIPmas is an annual event that we have been doing since the start of our foundation. Though each year WHIPmas is executed a little differently, our goal is the same – to bring Christmas cheer to kids who need it most.

Our first year, on my way home from college we visited kids in Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana. We surprised the kids with their most wanted Christmas gift.  And we spent time creating memories playing LEGOS, hanging in the hospital, or going on a shopping spree.

In 2019, we picked families who needed a little help and made sure to send them some items that were on their Christmas wish list. We also hand delivered gifts to local families.

This year, we have adopted multiple families to help fulfill their amazon wish lists. The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the world but we won’t let it impact the smiles these children will have as they wake up on Christmas morning with everything on their list.

Since the start of our foundation, three local businesses, Flexible Business Systems, Lazer, Aptheker, Rosella & Yedid, and Palmetto, Mollo, Molinaro & Passarello host a WHIPmas toy drive where I ask the employees to donate the most wanted and popular toys of the season. I specify the toy to ensure that we are able to bring the biggest smiles to cancer patients and their siblings all year round. These toys are then put into storage and are brought to pediatric cancer patients and their siblings each visit, it’s like Christmas morning all year long!!!
