Cancer Free by the Sea

There is nothing quite like saying the words “cancer free.”

For our Kansas cutie who just beat cancer, those words felt like the first deep breath after holding it for far too long. After months of treatments, appointments, fear, and fighting with everything she had, she reached the milestone everyone had been praying for: Cancer free.

So we celebrated the only way that felt big enough — by the ocean.

A Hamptons weekend getaway filled with salty air, sunshine, and the kind of peace that only the sound of waves can bring. This space offered:

  • No hospital walls.
  • No machines.
  • Just open sky and endless water stretching out in front of her like a brand new chapter.

She experienced the magic of the shore in every way:

  • She ran along the beach.
  • She laughed in the wind.
  • She stood at the shoreline with her toes in the sand, soaking in a moment that once felt so far away.

This weekend wasn’t just a trip. It was a celebration of resilience, of bravery, and of a little girl from Kansas who fought so hard and came out the other side.

There is something symbolic about the ocean — the way it washes things clean, the way it reminds you how vast and beautiful the world still is. Watching her there, free and smiling, felt like witnessing hope in its purest form.

From the middle of America to the shores of the Hamptons, this was a victory lap she more than earned.

  • Here’s to healing.
  • Here’s to fresh starts.
  • Here’s to every child who gets to hear the words “cancer free” and run straight toward the waves.
