Hudsons's Holiday
Hudson is the kind of little boy who makes the world softer just by being in it.
This year, instead of simply counting down to Christmas morning, Hudson and his family have been counting hospital visits, treatment days, and difficult milestones. After being diagnosed with Ewing’s sarcoma, life shifted overnight for this sweet boy and his incredible family.
- Childhood suddenly included chemo.
- Playtime became hospital time.
- Normal felt very far away.
But if you meet Hudson, you would never guess the weight he is carrying. His smile is still bright. His spirit is still gentle. And his family oh, his family, they are the definition of strength wrapped in kindness. The sweetest souls who continue to show up for each other every single day.
This Christmas, we wanted to show up for them.
Instead of just fulfilling a few gifts, we surprised Hudson and his sisters by covering their entire Christmas wishlists. Every toy. Every surprise. Every little thing they had hoped for.
Because when a child is fighting cancer, the whole family is fighting too. Siblings sacrifice more than most people realize. They sit in waiting rooms. They share their parents. They carry worry in their tiny hearts. And yet, they love fiercely through it all.
So this year, their tree will be surrounded by more than presents.
It will be surrounded by relief.
By joy.
By a moment to just be kids again.
Hudson is bravely battling Ewing’s sarcoma, but for one magical morning, he and his sisters will simply be children racing to see what Santa left behind. No hospital bands. No treatment schedules. Just wrapping paper, laughter, and memories being made.
