Whiskey Down Diner & LI Making Waves Against Cancer Team Up for Childhood Cancer Awareness

In honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, Whiskey Down Diner in Long Island joined forces with LI Making Waves Against Cancer and Whip Pediatric Cancer for a special giveaway fundraiser. Supporters had the chance to win a gift card and a custom t-shirt by following all three organizations on Instagram and tagging three friends to spread the word. Winners were randomly selected, but the real victory was the awareness raised and the community connections built.

For the owner of Whiskey Down Diner, this cause hits close to home. He shared:

“My nephew had stage 4 neuroblastoma, and he was diagnosed at age 4. He is currently cancer free for almost 3 years now, so every September especially we like to fundraise and raise awareness for Pediatric Cancer Month!!! We also always participate in Cycle for Survival and fundraise for that, as it goes directly to the anti-cancer vaccine he receives at Memorial Sloan Kettering. Mike, who runs the LI Making Waves Against Cancer group, has always been so supportive of us and our fundraising, and he asked us to collab with you guys—and it was a no-brainer!!!”

We are so grateful to Whiskey Down Diner, LI Making Waves Against Cancer, and everyone who joined in by following, tagging, and sharing. Together, these efforts turn awareness into action, helping spread hope and raise critical support for families battling childhood cancer.
