About Special Spaces Boca Raton
We are deeply honored to partner with Special Spaces Boca Raton, an organization that brings light, comfort, and hope to children and families walking through some of the hardest days of their lives.
Special Spaces is made up of an incredibly selfless and inspiring team of volunteers. Their hearts are as big as their imaginations, and the love they pour into every room is felt in every detail. They do not just design bedrooms — they create places of peace, joy, healing, and childhood.
For a child going through cancer treatment, a bedroom can become the place where they spend some of their most difficult days. It is where they rest, recover, process, and dream. Special Spaces Florida transforms those bedrooms into beautiful, personal dream spaces created especially for each child — a safe place to heal, sleep, play, imagine, and feel like a kid again.
And what makes this organization even more special is that they include siblings too, recognizing that cancer touches the entire family. Every child in the home deserves to feel seen, loved, and included.
How It Works
1. Submit Your Request
Fill out our Room Makeover Request form with details about the child, their interests, and the kind of transformation that would bring them the most joy.
2. Design & Planning
We work closely with Special Spaces Boca Raton volunteers to design a personalized theme tailored to the child's passions, favorite colors, and dream space.
3. The Big Reveal
Volunteers transform the space while the family is away, then invite them back for a magical reveal. The result is a one-of-a-kind room filled with love.

- Child must be currently undergoing treatment for pediatric cancer or within one year off treatment.
- Available to families in the South Florida area (Palm Beach County and Northern Broward County)
- Makeovers are provided at no cost to the family
- Each child receives a fully personalized transformation
