A Day with Ava

Some people are just meant to find each other. From the moment I came across Ava’s story, I felt something in my heart. I cannot even explain it, but I knew I had to try to connect with her. 🩷
The second we met, it felt natural and easy, like we had known each other for so much longer than we actually had. After spending time with Ava and her family today, my mom and I kept talking about how there are certain kids who just feel different in the most beautiful way. The ones who pull you in without even trying. The ones who leave a mark on your heart instantly. Ava is one of those kids.
She is only five years old and has already finished treatment for Ewing’s sarcoma. Five years old. And yet she carries this light that is impossible to miss. She is full of sass and personality and this magnetic little spark that makes you smile without even realizing it. She truly sparkles (just like my eye makeup she did for me today haha) wherever she goes. Wise beyond her years, smart, hilarious and so so much fun. I absolutely love her! And cannot wait to make more memories! She’s already planning our next visit.
Today felt special. She is special. I walked away feeling so grateful, so full, and so lucky that I got to meet what truly feels like sunshine in human form.
🩷 we love you Ava!!!!!
