RoRo to Tampa
7 months ago, I came across Rowyn’s story on the page of an influencer I had followed for years. Rowyn was only 3 years old when she was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, a disease I know all too well.
I reached out to her mom, Kelly, on Instagram, hoping and praying she’d see my message. Thank God she did. She replied, “I’m SO thankful you sent that message to me.” And we quickly became friends, keeping in touch daily throughout Rowyn’s cancer fight.
Less than 36 hours after hearing “your daughter has cancer”, Kelly and her husband, Royce, packed up their entire family and moved from California to New York City, determined to get Rowyn the best care possible. The tumor she had was called “inoperable” and “too risky” at other hospitals. But MSK didn’t give up. They went in. They did it. 
And they saved her life!!!!!!!
And they saved her life!!!!!!!Rowyn is now cancer-free. And just yesterday, I finally got to meet her in person. To say I have a new little best friend would be an understatement.
