Whip Pediatric Cancer

In Our Gold Era

We’re in our Gold Era where a little sparkle meets a lot of heart: we have had the honor to design custom, Taylor Swift era-inspired dresses so children facing pediatric cancer can twirl, shine, and feel completely enchanted. Because these kids are the real masterminds of their own stories, and we’ll be cheering them on. Long live every single one of them.

Meet Aubrey

In October of 2024, we packed our suitcases and set off to fulfill one of Aubrey’s biggest dreams. Aubrey had been diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma, a devastating cancer with a prognosis that no child should ever have to face. Despite everything she endured, Aubrey remained one of the most extraordinary people I have ever known. She had a light that could brighten any room, a strength that inspired everyone around her, and a heart full of joy.

More than anything, Aubrey dreamed of seeing Taylor Swift live in concert.

After months of fundraising, planning, and keeping the secret, I was finally able to surprise Aubrey, her two sisters, and her mom with tickets to Miami Night 1 of The Eras Tour. In that moment, her dream became reality. What followed was truly the best night of her life.

From the moment Taylor stepped on stage, Aubrey sang every single word with her whole heart. She danced through every era, smiled until her cheeks hurt, and for those few hours, cancer took a backseat to pure happiness. She wasn’t a patient. She wasn’t a fighter. She was simply a  girl living out her wildest dream. Of course, she had to arrive in style.

Aubrey chose the Midnights era, and in the weeks leading up to the concert, our post-chemo routine became something magical. We spent countless hours making friendship bracelets, planning outfits, and gathering every little detail that screamed Taylor Swift. Together, we poured our hearts into creating Aubrey’s dream concert look.

Her midnight-inspired dress became a labor of love. I hand-bedazzled every single stone, working tirelessly for ten days to bring her vision to life. When she finally put it on, everything was worth it. Aubrey looked in the mirror and saw exactly what every child deserves to see: confidence, beauty, joy, and possibility. She felt like the coolest girl in the world.

Watching her walk into that stadium wearing that dress brought tears to my eyes.

A year later, Aubrey passed away.

Today, the photograph of her wearing that dress is etched onto her headstone. It stands as a reminder of a night that her family lovingly calls one of the greatest nights of her life—a night where she got to experience pure joy, surrounded by the people she loved, singing along with her favorite artist.

This experience remains one of the most sacred moments in the history of Whip Pediatric Cancer. It is a memory I will carry with me forever.

What makes Aubrey’s legacy even more special is that her story didn’t end that night.

Since then, I have had the incredible honor of creating Taylor Swift-inspired outfits for many other children fighting cancer. It was never part of the original mission. We never planned for it. Yet somehow, it became something deeply meaningful.

There is something beautiful about giving a child a handmade piece inspired by their favorite era. For kids who spend so much of their lives in hospitals, doctor’s offices, and treatment rooms, these outfits allow them to feel seen, celebrated, and special. They get to be more than their diagnosis. They get to be Swifties. They get to dream.

Every rhinestone, every bracelet, every carefully crafted detail carries a little piece of Aubrey’s legacy.

She taught us that joy matters. Dreams matter. Creating moments worth remembering matters.

Aubrey’s Golden Era may have been far too short, but her impact will last forever.

And through every child who puts on a Taylor-inspired outfit and smiles a little brighter, her story continues.
