At Six Southern Babes Bamboo Boutique, comfort has always been about more than just pajamas. Their mission is rooted in wrapping families in care, joy, and love — especially those navigating life’s hardest battles. This September, in honor of Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, the boutique joined forces with Whip Pediatric Cancer for the Cozy for a Cure campaign.
Last night, we had the absolute joy of celebrating Rowyn’s CLEAR SCANS at the Radio City Rockettes Christmas Spectacular and it was nothing short of magical. The kind of magic that Whip Pediatric Cancer creates is the kind that brings me to tears, every single time.
We surprised Grace at her home with a real-life Christmas winter wonderland. Santa arrived in a Cyber Sleigh overflowing with toys, each one donated from Grace’s Christmas wishlist by all of you.

Mason dreamed of becoming an NHL player
Charlee was on top of the world getting her first PR package
Shanaya had traveled all the way from South Africa, becoming the first child we were able to meet from there, and it was an incredible honor to spend time with her and her family.
One of the hardest things I have ever done, planning Aubrey's celebration of life.
Sometimes joy shows up in the most unexpected ways. For Nathan and his neighborhood crew, it rolled in on four wheels in the form of a head-turning Cybertruck, thanks to the incredible team at Revive Kitchen & Bath in Tampa, Florida.
It was the best day ever. Team Whip Pediatric Cancer showed up strong for the Kids Walk for MSK Kids — united by one mission, one community, and countless brave children who inspire everything we do. From the moment the team gathered, you could feel it. The energy. The purpose. The love behind every single step. Shirts worn proudly. Names carried in our hearts. Families, friends, supporters all walking side by side.
Diagnosed at just five months old, after her family had already endured the unimaginable loss of her older brother to the very same disease she would later face, the road to this birthday felt uncertain from the start. A first birthday should be filled with anticipation and party planning. Instead, it was filled with treatments, fear, and prayers.
Sometimes healing looks like laughter echoing through Disney Springs. Sometimes it looks like a Sephora bag swinging from your wrist. And sometimes, it looks like pure, carefree joy. This day was all about good vibes and even better memories.
Birthdays are always special. But when a child has been walking through more than most adults could ever imagine, a birthday becomes something even bigger. It becomes a celebration of strength. Of resilience. Of being here. Karma’s birthday wish was simple and sweet — she wanted a Shopkin celebration. Colorful, playful, full of her favorite tiny characters that bring her so much joy.
Michigan State. University of Michigan. On any given Saturday, it is green versus blue. Spartans versus Wolverines. A rivalry that runs deep, loud, and proud. But when it comes to pediatric cancer, the rivalry disappears. Because no matter what side of the stadium you sit on, we are all on the same team when it comes to protecting our kids.
Sometimes the best medicine does not come in a bottle. Sometimes it comes with a blindfold and a makeup brush. Our cancer fighters took on blind makeovers — and what happened next was pure, hysterical laughter. With eyes covered and brushes in hand, they went to work on each other, doing their absolute best… or at least trying to.
There is something extra special about seeing Disney through the eyes of a child who truly deserves the magic. Hunter Rose’s Disney day was everything it should be — joyful, bright, and filled with moments that made you stop and smile. After everything she has walked through, this trip was about one thing: letting her be a kid in the most magical place on earth.
There is nothing quite like saying the words “cancer free.” For our Kansas cutie who just beat cancer, those words felt like the first deep breath after holding it for far too long. After months of treatments, appointments, fear, and fighting with everything she had, she reached the milestone everyone had been praying for. Cancer free.
Sometimes the most meaningful days are the simplest ones. At Flexible Business Systems, the bowling lanes turned into something much more than a game. They became a place where Nicolas and his sister Gianna could just be kids. No hospital talk. No appointments. No heavy conversations. Just bowling balls rolling down the lane. Pins crashing. High fives after every turn.
Our sweet Trinity and her sisters were treated to the most magical princess makeover tea party — a day filled with giggles, glam, and the kind of joy every little girl deserves. From the moment they arrived, the transformation began. Soft curls, shimmering makeup, twirling dresses, and of course, tiaras placed just perfectly on their heads. Watching their faces light up as they looked in the mirror was pure magic.
There are some words no family is ever prepared to hear. When the doctors told Lily there were no more treatment options available, the world seemed to stop. The air felt heavier. Time felt fragile. The kind of moment that changes everything in an instant. And in the middle of that heartbreak, we knew one thing. Lily deserved the best day ever.
In support of Whip Pediatric Cancer, Abington Heights football and cheer proudly wore fundraiser t-shirts dedicated to Elijah’s fight and his legacy. Every shirt in the stands and on the field was more than fabric it was a statement. A promise that he is not forgotten. A declaration that this community stands together against pediatric cancer.
Our Mason has always loved hockey. The Boston Bruins. Game days. Stats. Anything and everything to do with sports. So when we suggested an ice skating day at Bryant Park with my dad and brother two huge hockey guys themselves his eyes lit up instantly. That spark. That excitement. The kind that reminds you how special these simple moments really are.
When Kenzie had to leave home for treatment, everything familiar was suddenly miles away. Her bed. Her room. Her comfort. Being far from home while fighting cancer adds a whole different layer to an already overwhelming journey. Long hospital days are hard enough but not having your own space to return to makes it even heavier.
Every hospital needs a little more light. And that light came in the form of a 20-pound fluff ball named Piper. Piper, our beloved service animal and official Director of Smiles, made her very first hospital visit and if you could have seen the faces she walked past, you would understand just how powerful a wagging tail can be.
Sasha battled Ewing’s sarcoma with a strength that felt larger than life. But if you asked her who she was, she wouldn’t have said “cancer patient.” She was a singer. A songwriter. A dreamer with melodies in her heart and lyrics always forming on her lips.
Sophie is in her RED era. And if you know Sophie, you know that could not be more fitting. She has been having such a hard time lately. Fighting cancer is never easy, but right now there is just so much on her plate. More appointments. More hurdles. More weight than any child should ever have to carry.
This year, instead of simply counting down to Christmas morning, Hudson and his family have been counting hospital visits, treatment days, and difficult milestones. After being diagnosed with Ewing’s sarcoma, life shifted overnight for this sweet boy and his incredible family.
When Claire relapsed with Ewing’s sarcoma, her world flipped upside down. Relapse is a word no family ever wants to hear. To walk through diagnosis once is devastating. To face it again feels torturous. The fear is heavier. The questions are louder. The fight somehow feels even steeper.
Our sweet friend Grace has been fighting for her life. In the middle of hospital machines, quiet tears, and unimaginable strength, her mom made a simple, heartfelt request. She asked if we could gather outside Grace’s hospital window and sing Amazing Grace.
When we received the heartbreaking news that Jazzy’s cancer had spread and that time was no longer on our side, our hearts shattered. But in that same breath, we made a promise. If there was still magic to be made, we would make it happen. And we would make it happen fast.

Today, we were able to completely transform Grace’s apartment, her playroom, living room, and bedroom — into a space where she can finally play, feel safe, rest, and heal. A space that feels like home again.

September is always an emotional month for our family. On September 21, 2018, our son Brody was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma at just 4 months old. September is also Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, which makes this time of year especially meaningful.
This September, Claws N Paws Shop was proud to join forces with Whip Pediatric Cancer in honor of Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month. For owner Carolyn Vencill, the mission is personal.
Jason is inviting car enthusiasts to bring out their supercars and Teslas to help raise both money and awareness for pediatric cancer.
Skate for GOLD is our most favorite day of the year. Reaching milestones for cancer patients and their families is something that never goes unnoticed. Being able to ice skate was a huge achievement and milestone for my brother and me.
Have you ever witnessed a heartwarming story that reaffirms the power of community and kindness? Well, get ready to be inspired by the incredible transformation of Dylan’s room, a project that turned a young girl’s space into a magical dreamland she had always wished for.
